I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Ron Lanham for your counseling needs. As a deacon at Graham Road Baptist Church I have worked closely with Ron on several projects since meeting him four years ago and have found him to be nothing but a caring and compassionate person.
Ron is also an individual who studies his profession and that was very evident when our church brought Ron in to conduct group counseling sessions for several weeks last winter. All who attended the series reported marked progress in their lives as Ron’s counseling helped equip them with the tools they needed to move forward in the troublesome situations they were facing. The brilliant impact his counseling made on their lives is still evident today.
Ron has the ability to work with individuals in a tactful and concerned way. His approach would work well in many settings as his life experience enables him to relate to people on many different levels. He can relate and counsel them as matriarchal figure as he is blessed with three children; he can counsel them in spiritual matters as he has served many years as a both a senior and associate pastor and he can also comfort them from the perspective of one who has been through difficult times himself.
Having earned his Christian Counseling Certification, Ron certainly understands the profession and the guidelines that rule within its structure, but at the same time he is able to lovingly approach people in a way that makes them feel like they’ve known him their entire lives. As the leader of Turning Point Ministries and former youth pastor, he has also had the opportunity to serve as a mentor in untold young lives.
I have found Ron to be a caring man of God who listens. God has given him the insight and discernment needed to be an impactful counselor. Many times Ron has given me counsel on many subject matters and it has resulted in change in my life. His love for God is unquestioned.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Ron Lanham for several years. I was on the board of trustees for Tallmadge Christian Academy when we voted him in as our principal. His absolute integrity in all situations and dealings with students, parents and the board of trustees was I believe the reason our academy was as successful as it was.
As far as his ability to give wise counsel to those who are considering using his services in their own situations … you could not ask for a better person to do this task. It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Ron Lanham. I met Ron about a year ago when my church, Graham Road Baptist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, provided an outreach ministry for people recovering from divorce. Ron was the leader and facilitator of the Divorce Recovery program. The program provides a group setting to explore the feelings of loss associated with separation and divorce.
The program was held weekly for approximately 13 weeks. Ron led this group. Under Ron’s direction, each member of our group was able to understand why divorce is so painful and how to work our way through this hurt. We discussed depression, anxiety, and loss. We did not stay there, though, with Ron’s leadership and guidance, we were able to address issues such as forgiveness, restoration, and healing. We even discussed tough issues such as finances and sex. Through biblical teachings and personal and professional experiences, Ron pointed us in the direction of hope and brought us to a place of stability and courage.
The group was diverse and Ron was able to connect with each of us where we were on our own personal journey. For me, it was life-changing, and I attribute that to Ron’s insight, compassion, and gift of being able to reach out and effect people in a very positive and encouraging way.

Bro Ron, Just a note to say thank you for all the years that I have known you. You have shown myself and other boys/men what it means to be a man of integrity. Starting at school as a seventh grader you taught me by actions to be accountable for what we have done. Later you taught me by example that even though you left your comfort zone, you obeyed God and started New Testament Baptist Church. Later you stood up for what you believed was right even though we did not want you to. You followed your beliefs.
Today you are still teaching me even though I have no direct contact with you. Your example of Standing UP STRONG and redefining your goals to help others means you did not give up but sought after GOD’S Will for your life.
